FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF A WROUGHT IRON STEEL DOOR AND DOOR OVER A TIMBER DOOR AND DOOR FRAME?
Where do we start?! Firstly, a wrought iron steel door acts a 2-in1 front door system. This is because each wrought iron door has an integrated, openable glassdoor on the inside which can be opened for ventilation, whilst still keeping the door itself closed (and locked) for security. Hence, there is no need to install an ugly security screen or security door in front of your nice front door! This glassdoor is double glazed so there is no issue of heat escaping from your house.

Our steel doors are completely unique and will make your house the best looking house in the street! Your front door is the first impression people get when they arrive at your home so why settle for a boring old timber front door and door frame (probably with an ugly security screen or security door in front)?

We can custom make your front door and frame in any size, style and design you like, in a variety of finishes, with different handle designs and with a black or white flywire screen to suit. We can also customize the glassdoor on the inside with different glass finishes. Try getting those options from a door at Bunnings!

Finally, our doors come as a complete 'kit' with no more to time or money to spend. Timber doors come with separate frames, hinges, handles, locks and then need painting or staining on-site. Our doors come with all of this (and more) included and we are so confident in our quality we offer a 10 year structural warranty.

HOW DIFFICULT ARE WROUGHT IRON STEEL DOORS TO INSTALL?
Wrought iron front doors and frames are very simple to install. Unlike a timber door and door frame, steel front doors and door frames are never bowed or need adjusting. Simply screw the door frame into the timber studwork/ concrete/ brickwork and the doors drop straight onto the hinges. As they are made from steel. the doors themselves are quite heavy (we can provide specifications on the weight of each specific door) so we recommend using two people to lift them into place. Further details and installation instructions can be provided on request.

WHAT EXACTLY ARE YOUR STONE BATHS MADE FROM?
Our stone baths, like almost all other stone baths, are made from stone resin. Which in layman's terms means 'artificial' stone, similiar to a stone benchtop. They have all of the attributes of stone (including weight!) but do not require any sealing prior to use.

WHAT IS A RANGEHOOD SHROUD?
A rangehood shroud is basically a rangehood cover which hides the venting motor and system which actually exhausts the cooking smells/ steam externally. Normal stainless steel rangehoods act in a similar way in that they are really just a cover for the motor and venting system built in/ behind the visible cover. The prices shown on our website are for the shroud (cover) only, however we can assist with providing a quote for the undermount motor and venting system itself for your licenced electrician to install. There is very little difference between the cost to install our completed shroud and undermount system compared with a traditional rangehood.

WROUGHT IRON STEEL DOORS AND RANGEHOOD SHROUDS LOOK LIKE THEY ARE MADE FROM THE SAME MATERIALS?
Yes, they are both made by hand and have the same individual ‘aged copper’ finish.
